Begin with the information guests need: who is inviting them, the event they are invited to, where and when it happens, and how to reply. Then choose a visual hierarchy. The eight original designs below are editable examples; none is a real couple’s invitation or a print-service offer.
Choose the format that matches the invitation
| Need | Design approach | Keep visible |
|---|---|---|
| One ceremony and reception | One main card with a short details panel | Arrival versus ceremony time, venue and response instructions |
| Evening reception only | An explicitly worded evening invitation | Reception scope and whether a meal is served |
| Several events | Main invitation plus household-specific schedule | Which events are included and which costs belong to guests |
| Two languages | Equal columns or coordinated separate cards | The same dates, places, access information and response method |
Coral blocks with confident type

Invitations & paper
Coral blocks with confident type
Large serif names sit inside a coral-and-pink invitation with a clear centered hierarchy and generous margins.
Choose a vivid color relationship when you want the invitation to feel expressive without needing a decorative illustration. Use one ink color on pale stock if full-color coverage is unsuitable for your print method.

An ink-and-ivory formal invitation

Invitations & paper
An ink-and-ivory formal invitation
A double ink border surrounds centered serif names and a restrained, clearly separated date and venue.
Choose a formal hierarchy when names, occasion and setting should do most of the visual work. Print a single border and ordinary dark ink instead of adding foil or a liner.

A blue botanical border

Invitations & paper
A blue botanical border
Original blue line-drawn leaves frame a pale invitation while its central text remains open and readable.
Choose a botanical edge when flowers belong in the story but the wording still needs quiet space. Keep the border on the main invitation and use plain companion cards with the same blue heading.

Olive type with a quiet rule

Invitations & paper
Olive type with a quiet rule
Olive sans-serif names, a slim divider and left-aligned event details create a calm, spare invitation.
Choose a left-aligned hierarchy when straightforward reading and a small amount of text matter most. Use ordinary pale paper and one dark ink; protect the margins instead of adding another decorative finish.

Two languages with equal space

Invitations & paper
Two languages with equal space
An original two-column invitation gives English and Spanish example wording equal prominence below the names.
Choose equal columns when both language groups should receive the same practical information. Use two coordinated single-language cards if longer names or translations make either column cramped.

A weekend invitation with a separate schedule

Invitations & paper
A weekend invitation with a separate schedule
A burgundy-and-ivory invitation pairs a clear main message with a separate schedule panel for welcome, ceremony and farewell.
Choose a modular suite when invitation scope differs across a wedding weekend and details need room to breathe. Keep the main invitation universal and supply only the events each household is actually invited to attend.

A city evening invitation

Invitations & paper
A city evening invitation
Black and butter-yellow typography creates a compact evening-reception invitation with an explicit arrival time and meal description.
Choose a distinct evening invitation when guests are joining the reception rather than the ceremony. Keep the same font family as the main suite and change only the invitation wording and one accent.

Count households, then add an agreed allowance
Invitation packs usually follow the households or individuals you are inviting, rather than the total number of guests. Illustration: 48 addressed households plus six agreed spare packs means 54 packs. If eight households receive a different event schedule, specify those eight inserts separately. This model is an ordering check, not a universal spare allowance.
Keep the actual invitation and event scope in your guest records. Decide how names and plus-ones will appear before printing. Keep private access and dietary replies in the necessary planning record; do not put personal requests on public-facing stationery.
Proof a finished pack
Check the facts
Have the hosts approve spellings, full venue addresses, event scope, actual arrival times and the response method. Ask a fluent speaker to check each complete language version.
Print at actual size
Read the smallest type in ordinary light. Check contrast, folding, line breaks and whether the chosen paper suits the printer. The SVG is a vector design, not a guarantee of font availability or print color.
Test the whole envelope
Weigh and measure one finished pack with every insert and any liner, seal or decoration. Ask the intended postal service about that actual pack; do not infer a rate from a flat-card mockup.
Verify the reply journey
Try the final response instructions on another device or with another person. This site records replies locally; it does not collect remote RSVPs or deliver invitations.
These editable downloads use fictional example names and details. Replace every example field and remove the sample notice only after checking your own finished proof. Use your preferred design application or printer to customize the SVG; paper, fonts, color and postal handling need a real proof.
